Look familiar? Coheed recently did the Neverender concerts (one album a night for four nights), and I think Flyleaf's S/T is strong enough to be an entire concert. I know there aren't any of the new songs, covers, or old demo songs. As much as I love them, they didn't go platinum. It starts out strong with ISS and FA and ends appropriately mellow with SIT. They could have a sit-down Q&A before the show and share stories from the early days, recording of the first record, etc. Before each song it would be great to hear them talk about what it means to them and how that has maybe changed over the years. Of course, Lacy would be responsible for the screams. Pat just doesn't cut it.

For an encore, they could play Memento Mori all the way through on the next night. Having just heard the first record, it would be interesting to see how much 3 years has changed their music. Here's a question for all you hardcore fans: do you think this experience would be enjoyable and perhaps give you new insights into the music?

Ok...one more thing. I love this idea. I love full albums and agree that Flyleaf is a great album and it would be cool to hear it all live in order.

And all I got to say is that I thought I was the only one who stilled used "tight"
Props on the word usage.

Dude, I actually like Pat's screams... and I'm hoping for one song on the new album with him doing background vocals... I think it'd be tight. Prolly not gonna happen, but I can dream right?

I'll admit defeat so you can keep your troll license.

lol. Clever. I submit to your superior wit. Although if you continue get me to apologize and admit defeat, I may have my troll license revoked.

Calling me a fangrrrl means you care?
I'm kidding! I know what you're saying. Excuse my sense of humour. :P
And it's okay. I hold no meaningless faults or grudges. :)

You love Flyleaf and that's great. I just enjoyed Neverender alot and thought it might be cool to see Flyleaf do something like that. Hopefully MM will be worth the wait and blow everyone away. May have been a little harsh to call you a fangrrrl. Sorry. I guess it just means we care. :)

1. That's true, unless your a newly signed bands. Most of them put whatever the label tells them to on their first CD. I think this was the way it was done with Flyleaf, because we all know that the label stepped in and changed a lot of their music. It definitely doesn't mean it's their best stuff. And Flyleaf put out quite a few songs after the record was released that they wrote post studio, so those don't count in the 'demo' category.

2. I am not a 'fangrrrl'. I just don't think Pat 'muddys up the sonic spectrum'. We have a difference in opinion and taste, that's all. :)

I'd like to make clear that I'm not being rude or combative. The way I respond to people on the net gets taken the wrong way quite often and I don't know what to do to make myself come across how I'm meaning to. So I've just gone to including disclaimers. x)

@hayley Yeah, I had a feeling those were two sentences someone would take issue with.

1. What I meant was that these songs were the songs collaboratively selected by the label and the band to represent what Flyleaf means as a band. Typically, bands put their best songs on the cd. That makes sense, right?

2. I think Pat's great on bass, but his vocals are weak. He would probably admit that. That's one reason he's not fronting this band or any other (the other being that he's perfectly happy with his role in Flyleaf). I'd rather hear just vanilla Lacey vocals without any screaming in the background than have Pat muddying up the sonic spectrum. There's a difference between being a fan and a fanboi (or fangrrrl). One doesn't have to like everything.

3. I don't want to sit on youtube for hours sifting through videos tagged "flyleaf". I do want to spend an intimate evening with a great band. S/T one night followed by MM the next would be a great way to celebrate the new record.

You know, there is definitely a chance that this wouldn't work as well as it did for Coheed. That band is conceptual and it makes sense to play the songs in order since they tell a story. I think I might change my perfect set to MM all the way through with 4 or 5 new songs that didn't make the record.

"As much as I love them, they didn't go platinum."
I don't see what that has to do with anything, especially since none of the new songs, vovers, or demos were on an album so that they could go platinum.

"Pat just doesn't cut it."
I think he's brilliant.
Plus, a lot of Flyleaf's screaming goes on in the background, while Lacey sings. I ask you; how is she supposed to do them both at the same time? Even if it were possible, think about what that would do to her vocal chords.

Of course every Flyleaf show is going to be enjoyable, but I think I'd walk away dissapointed from this setlist. If I wanted to listen to the record, then I'd listen to the record, you know?
As for the speaches, you can find a ton of live videos and interviews where they explained the songs and how they've changed.
